Inspired by the surrounding landscape, rich cultural history, and spirit of experimentation that defines Driving Creek, these residents engage with themes of ecology, storytelling, craft, memory, and belonging. Through ceramics, visual arts, moving image, research, and cross-disciplinary exploration, they investigate the relationships between people, materials, and place. Together, the April residents foster an environment of creative exchange, reflection, and meaningful connection to whenua.
